Jennifer & Jeff's Wedding!
by Julie Hamilton | in Weddings

Our 2010 wedding season started off with a bang as we traveled down to San Diego for Jenn & Jeff's wedding.  The rain was threatening to ruin the festivities, but if there's one thing that we realized about Jenn & Jeff, it's that NOTHING could dampen their party!  It was obvious from the get go that Jenn & Jeff had put alot of thought and planning into their special day (which turned out to be a gorgeous sunny, breezy day) and that they had one thing in mind for their guests.....FUN!  Forgoing the usual bridal party transportation, J & J had a trolley from Old Town Trolley Tourscome to shuttle their bridal party around to the locations for the day..as you can imagine, it was a great background some images too.  The ceremony was held in The North Chapel at NTC Promenade, but after that, the crowd partied over to the Miramar Officer's Club, where Jenn works, for an evening packed with delights. This party took over the entire Officer's Club inside and out! It started off with the usual wedding reception traditions, but was filled with surprise after surprise.  FIrst, in honor of Jeff's "Husker" heritage, Jenn had a special groom's cake made just for him, in the shape of..what else? Corn.  Then, in honor of Jenn's heritage, the Lucky Lion Dancers came and performed!  It was so cool to see the dancers/acrobats going around the room and the electricity and excitement in the place just rose.  I know the guests thoroughly enjoyed their great performance as did I.  I didn't want it to end.  Then, as the DJ was working his magic, in the outdoor lounge area, there was a sound.  The unmistakeable sound of....bagpipes.  The California Celts were beginning their performance for the evening.  I loved the way they started...by playing a simple traditional sounding Irish song, while they were walking through the crowd.  As the crowd gathered, they picked up the pace and by the end of the song, they were playing Irish rock and the whole crowd was loving it! I truly don't know who had the best time: Jenn & Jeff, their guests, or us.  It was a great way to start off the 2010 wedding season!

Jenn & Jeff, thank you for being so welcoming to us and just encouraging all to have fun.  It was such a pleasure to be there on your wedding day and to celebrate with you.  We wish you many more years of celebrating and F-U-N!

Also, special thanks to Eddie from Studio 512 who was our awesome third shooter.  Eddie rocks.

Without further ado, here are a few of our favorites from Jenn & Jeff's wedding, but you can see more when you

Jennifer & Shane's Wedding
by Julie Hamilton | in Weddings

Many Congratulations to Jenne & Shane!  We just had an opportunity to capture their Sacramento wedding and get to know them better.  It's easy to see that they are loved dearly and held closely by their family and their wide variety of friends.  Jenne & Shane are such an interesting couple because they are so unique, so it should not have been a surprise that their wedding was flavored with their own unique ideas and concepts.  Perhaps most of all, I loved their ideas for the bridal party florals.  The bridesmaids all wore black dresses, and as you can see, each one had a bouquet that introduced a different color. Coolest of all, each bridesmaid also had a brooch that matched her bouquet (even Jenne!) and they all wore them in different ways: in the hair, on the back, on the front of their dresses, etc.  !  I love the way that the black provided a great background for the brilliance of the colors!  It was a wonderful idea!

Jenne & Shane, we hope you are having a wonderful honeymoon and enjoying yourselves immensely!  Thank you for choosing us to be a part of this day, it's a wonderful compliment, especially because we know how important photography is to you. We hope that looking at these images brings back so many great moments for you! Here are a few of our favorite moments and be sure to watch the slideshow to experience the joy of their day!!  Enjoy!

The men getting ready at the Amber House...

The array of colors brought in through the florals...

The beautiful bride..

Jenne and her dad...

Probably my favorite moment of the day.  Just before the wedding, all the girls "put one foot in" and shared with Jenne how much she means to each one of them.  I'm not sure there was a dry eye in the room.  I was really touched with how much they cared for her and each other....

Dance was the medium that brought Jenne & Shane together, so when they got out on the floor for their HOT Latin first dance, they came alive like I had never seen them before!! WOW!

Natalie & Eric's Wedding!
by Damion Hamilton, Julie Hamilton | in Weddings

You might remember Natalie & Eric's awesome snowy engagement session up at Mt. Baldy from last spring!  These two adventurers finally took the plunge and it was a beautiful event!  It wasn't just that the ceremony at the Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church was elegant and beautifully decorated, nor just that the reception was immaculate and perfectly adorned with light blue and brown to capture a snowy color scheme, but more so to see these two lives joined together was a great experience.  Once you meet Natalie & Eric, you are immediately able to see the mutual love and admiration that these two share together and their kindness and generosity towards others.  After meeting their family and friends, I must say that the apple does not fall far from the tree.  Both Damion and I were so impressed with their friends--kind, respectful, inclusive to strangers....treating us like family, though for many it was the first time we had met.  You can tell that the roots run deep between these families and friends.

Anyway, it was a wonderful experience and we are so excited that we had an opportunity to photograph such a beautiful couple...they were making us laugh all day long and were so much fun to be around!!  Natalie & Eric, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity and honor of being by your side for this special day.  We hope that your future is filled with all of the great things that you all deserve !  Here are just a few of our favorites, but I have to say...these were SO hard to narrow down, you'll just have to see more in the slideshow!
