Ah…. the spa treatment.  What does that mean to you?  A detailed, focused time set aside to create an “experience” for you to enjoy.  Everything is taken into consideration from fresh, clean linens to the music playing to the tea available in the relaxing room.  Well, our goal as your wedding photographers is to provide you with the “Spa Treatment” of wedding photography….everything considering, choreographed, and mapped out so that we can help enhance and create a truly great experience for you.  As always, we are fine tuning the ways in which we do that, and I just again came back to this fact:  From beginning to end, from the first time we make contact with you until the last closing email, there are a specifically directed number of steps that we take to ensure that happens……88 steps to be exact. (Of course, that doesn’t include anything after the fact from all of the lovely clients that have become just our friends and that we love to spend time with now).  Just wanted you to know how important you are to us!

Some call it “fate”, some call it “destiny”, some call it “divine.” Whatever you call it, Damion, Lonie, & Meghan felt it two years ago when they sat next to each other on an airplane ride from Sacramento to Ontario.  In that short 45 minute ride, they made a connection that has lasted until this day…the day we’ve been looking forward to for 2 years…the day that Damion had the opportunity to capture Lonie & Meghan’s engagement images! After that “chance” meeting in 2008, we’ve had the privilege and opportunity to photograph annual events for the charity that Lonie helped to found, AFF (Active Force Foundation), which “offers the opportunity for physically challenged individuals to explore, experience and participate in a more active lifestyle. AFF specializes in adaptive sports and strives to promote the design and engineering of high quality sports equipment.” Basically, they create and provide extreme sports equipment for those that have been injured in a way that otherwise might prevent them from participating! Well, if you’re ready for some smokin’ HOTness on the blog, then keep reading and watching, because Lonie Paxton & Meghan Vasconcellos have got it!! They first met back when Lonie was the long snapper for the New England Patriots and Meghan was a cheerleader for the same team.  Fast forward almost 4 years and some things have changed; Lonie now plays for the Denver Broncos (Go #66!!!) so they now live in beautiful Colorado and are planning their wedding for next February, but it’s easy to see that their love has only gotten closer and deeper.  I love the way they make each other laugh and smile, as you’ll see here! They are both such sweeties and treated Damion like a king while he was in Colorado for their engagement session.  I’m afraid he didn’t want to come home after having so much fun and being so spoiled

Lonie & Meghan, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your lives over the last couple of years and a part of your very special day.  We are so excited to see you guys get married, grow your family, and see the desires of your heart come true! It’s going to be a great journey and we are so excited to see where it takes you!

Mother Nature gave them a nice little break in the weather for the photo shoot, but the rain started up again in the evening. Lonie & Meghan were such troopers to do a little bit of shooting out in the freezing rain!!

Listening to how Matt & Cecilee met each other was like reading a book….a comic book! There was stalking in the library, refusals with silly excuses, running into each other at odd moments, BUT finally after all that, they fell in love over coffee having long discussions about religion, literature, and the world.  These two are a match made in heaven…with Cecilee’s love of world religions and Matt’s focus on missions, it enables them to really get into depth on topics that are stimulating and interesting to them.  That combination of passions will allow them to help create each other’s stories in a beautiful way!

We had so much fun on Cec & Matt’s e-session and they were such troopers! We dragged them up and down and all around, through wheat fields, on the ground, back up again, and they were very good sports about it all.  We had such a fun time getting to know them both better, but particularly Matt, since we hadn’t met him before. Also, many thanks for Hilary Molloy for doing such beautiful artistry with the makeup.  Great job!

Cec & Matt, it was a pleasure getting to know you guys both better and spend some time with you….we are so looking forward to your wedding a few short months away! Here are a few of our faves from your session and we hope you enjoy them!!

Music has been a been a part of Denise and Frank’s relationship from the beginning! The day that they met at church, Frank had been playing the drums and even now, these multi-talented musicians love playing in a band together. So, for their engagement session, of course we had to find some way to capture and incorporate (immortalize!) their love of music and the important role it plays in their lives. They brought their guitars along, we found a dirty alley…what more do you need?, and wa-la…portraiture magic!
